The Agricultural Institute is part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University. Its primary purpose is to provide students with the practical experience needed to be productive in the many careers within the agricultural industry. At the Agricultural Institute you'll focus your studies on nine possible majors and hundreds of career opportunities; and you'll be armed with a 2-year Associate of Applied Science Degree to hit the ground running.
The Mission of the Agricultural Institute at NC State is to provide a technical education in agriculture and related areas. The Agricultural Institute provides students access to the resources of a major land-grant institution, with programs of study leading to the Associate of Applied Science degree. The combination of general education and technical skills helps students develop both personally and professionally and prepares them to be productive leaders in society with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing agricultural sector.
