The Chefs of Schoolcraft College
Join Schoolcraft College’s Culinary Chefs on the Cooking Stage on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Schoolcraft’s Culinary Arts Program has received both national and international acclaim. The culinary faculty includes four certified master chefs and seven certified executive chefs. Chef instructors and students have won many local, national and international competitions. Not only taste great dishes from the Schoolcraft chefs, but also learn about the culinary art classes they offer!

Dawn Bause/Slow Food Detroit
Join Dawn Bause, a cooking instructor and author, and active member of Slow Food Detroit since 2007 on the Cooking Stage daily as she will be whipping up some great dishes reflective of the Slow Food Movement. The Slow Food Movement started in Italy over 20 years ago when McDonald's opened their first "fast food" restaurant in Rome. The Roman's picketed in front of the restaurant shouting “we eat slow food not fast food!"
The Slow Food Movement is a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world linking the pleasure of food with the commitment to community and the environment. It promotes clean, healthy, locally grown foods.
